Songs, “a semi-fantastic tale with crazy charm, where theater and music are combined for the best” – Télérama

Starting from a very beautiful album of seventeenth-century English tunes, the director Samuel Achache and the Baroque conductor Sébastien Daucé have built a semi-fantastic tale with a crazy charm, where theater and music are combined for the best.

” The ambient melancholy does not prevent us from laughing often and heartily. And […] we must pay tribute as much to the talent of the professional actresses, who offer fine and sensitive characterizations of their respective characters, as to the abilities of the musicians on stage who enter, too, into the theatrical play. Created in early October at the Théâtre de la Croix-Rousse (in Lyon), caught up on November 27 at the Théâtre de Caen, this whimsical and melancholy show, where music and words intertwine with spirit, should find an ideal refuge in the scenic and acoustic space of the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord. ”
